Oxford J.R.R. Tolkien Lecture on Fantasy Literature

The J.R.R. Tolkien Lecture on Fantasy Literature started in 2013. It is an annual lecture organized by Pembroke College at Oxford that invites influential speakers to share their thoughts on the fantasy genre. This year, Brandon has accepted the invitation to speak.


He will speak on May 19, 2026 from 6:00–7:00PM local time. The lecture is being held in the beautiful Oxford Town Hall and will include a Q&A session. Tickets for the speech are currently sold out, but the lecture will be available on the Tolkien Lecture on Fantasy Literature’s YouTube channel.
