Badge Use
Badges must be displayed to enter any Nexus event space and must be visible at all times. Possible exceptions may be allowed at Dragonsteel’s discretion. Such instances may include temporary periods of time where a badge would detract from an event, such as the cosplay showcase.
Purchasing Badges
Anyone who wishes to purchase a badge to attend Nexus must first sign up on the Dragonsteel Nexus website. Signing up does not guarantee a badge. Rather, it gives an entry to be randomly chosen to have an opportunity to purchase a ticket.
Drawings will happen in waves, with each wave pulling from the pool of those who wish to attend Nexus. Waves will continue until all badges have been sold.
Those who wished to attend Nexus, but were not able to purchase tickets, can sign up for the waitlist. As schedules and situations change and current badge holders cancel and refund their registrations, those at the top of the waitlist will have the opportunity to purchase a badge.
NOTE: Dragonsteel is unable to provide the status or estimated possibility of obtaining a badge to any individual.
Badge Purchasing Limit
Badge purchases are limited to four per person who is selected in the drawing. To purchase badges for a larger group, please assign multiple individuals to purchase the necessary number of badges.
Mailed Badges
In an effort to greatly minimize the time attendees spend in lines and allow more immediate access to Nexus, we are offering to ship badges.
The cost to ship badges will be $6 (US) per order, but is something we can offer only to domestic attendees at this time. In-person pickup will still be required for all international attendees.
While we cannot offer badge shipping to international backers, we will have a dedicated in-person pickup location for international attendees to help minimize the time they must wait in registration at DSNX for their badge pickup.
Combatting Scalpers and Scammers
While Dragonsteel is unable to completely eliminate scammers or scalpers, we have the following policy and associated procedures in place to mitigate them:
Badges cannot be resold and are not transferable between individuals. When you purchase your tickets, please be cautious as you enter your details and those of your party. Once you finalize your information, we may not be able to approve any major changes to your tickets. Ensure to only buy tickets from Dragonsteel Nexus and not from any other website.
Cancellations or Other Modifications
Badgeholders may log in to their account to cancel or make other changes from the convention website. Changes could include adding or deleting pre-ordered merchandise, adjusting paid event sessions, and updating address information. Full refunds for convention registration, merchandise, and paid events are available until November 1, 2026. After November 1, no cancellations or refunds will be available. In addition, pre-orders for merchandise will be closed.
Badge Name Changes or Transfers
To hinder scalpers and scammers, once a badge is purchased, adjustments to badgeholder names will be limited.
We will be able to address small changes to the name on the badge, such as changing John Johnson to Jon Johnsen. More complicated changes may not be approved, e.g. John Johnson to Ashley Morgan.
If you would like to make adjustments to your badge, please open a ticket with customer support and provide the following information:
Email address currently associated with your badge
Current incorrect spelling
Correct spelling
Canceling a Badge
While we are sorry you won’t be able to attend, badges can be cancelled by opening a ticket with our customer support team. Refunds will be available only until November 1, 2026. After November 1, no cancellations or refunds will be accepted. In addition, pre-orders for merchandise will be closed.
Primary Badge Holder Cancels Their Badge
If the primary badge holder cancels their badge, the remaining badges associated with the order are not cancelled as well. However, we will work with the primary badge holder when we assist in cancelling their badge to make sure that alerts and emails will be sent to someone else in the party before cancelling the group leader's badge.
