Worldhopper Ball Tickets

What are the ticket prices for the Worldhopper Ball 2025?

Tickets will be $225 USD each. They will be available—while supplies last—to any registered Dragonsteel Nexus 2025 badgeholder beginning at 11AM MDT on Thursday October 18..

Who can purchase tickets to the Worldhopper Ball? Can Minors attend?

Worldhopper Ball tickets are available only to registered Dragonsteel Nexus attendees, and each must be purchased individually through the badge they will be attached to. While most sessions will be open only to attendees age 18+, the Saturday afternoon (1pm) session of the ball will be open to attendees age 16+. Alcohol will not be served at this session.

NOTE: Photo ID check (e.g., government ID, current student ID, etc.) will be required for all sessions and no one under these age requirements will be permitted. There are no exceptions to this policy.

How do I purchase a ticket to the Worldhopper Ball?

A ticket can be obtained by following these instructions:

1. Use the confirmation email or DragonsteelNexus.com website to access the registration confirmation page
2. Select “Modify registration” to be redirected to the registration pathway
3. In the registration pages, navigate to the “Sessions” page
4. Select a session of the Worldhopper Ball. Each badge is limited to no more than one session
5. Navigate to the registration payment page
6. Select the preferred payment method and check out with the added Worldhopper Ball session.
   NOTE: No ticket to a paid session can be officially claimed without a successfully processed payment.

Please note: As with all paid events, each individual badgeholder that wishes to attend the Worldhopper Ball must log in to their own badge and follow these steps. Attendees are unable to purchase multiple tickets under one checkout process, or for badgeholders other than themselves.

Worldhopper Ball Sessions, Location, and Policies

When will the sessions of the ball be held?

There will be six sessions in total, times listed below:

Thursday (1 session)

• 9:30pm–12:00am

Friday (2 sessions)

• 5:00pm–7:30pm
• 9:30pm–12:00am

Saturday (3 sessions)

• 1:00pm–3:30pm (16+, no alcohol served)
• 5:00pm–7:30pm
• 9:30pm–12:00am

Where will I find the ball?

The Worldhopper Ball, themed after Keep Venture from Mistborn, will be held in the Grand Ballroom at the Salt Palace. A raised main stage will be present upon which staged scenes will be acted out at various times throughout the Ball.

What is the dress code?

As an elegant and upscale event, the Worldhopper Ball requires guests to wear formal or semiformal attire. Clothing worn at the Worldhopper Ball is required to meet all criteria outlined in the Dragonsteel Nexus Cosplay and Weapons policy.

Cosplay is accepted and encouraged, but it must be appropriate raiment for a ball. A bridgeman vest, the torn clothes of a skaa, the slimy rags of one of the Hoed, or a Koloss loincloth would not meet requirements. If you are unsure if your clothing style would meet the requirements of "formal," ask yourself, "What would Tindwyl say?"

NOTE: Backpacks and handbags are not permitted. Small bags, like a clutch purse, or bags directly incorporated into a cosplay may be permitted. Dragonsteel staff and the Paladin Creative team reserve the right to deny entry of any bag.

Will there be a coat or bag check?

A complimentary coat check will be available while space lasts to all ticketed ball attendees upon entry to the Worldhopper Ball. Large or bulky items may be subject to review for approval.

What to expect during the Ball

Mistborn Characters and Acted Scenes

Scenes that reimagine some of the most iconic moments Mistborn: The Final Empire will be brought to life for guests of House Venture. Guests will be among the first people ever to experience the world of Scadrial up close and personal!

Character actors will be available at various times between scenes to allow ball-goers to interact and get photos with fan favorite characters from the Cosmere. Check out our social media to see the characters you’ll get to meet!

Dancing

There will be various moments during the evening where ball-goers can dance with a partner in a fashion befitting a noble keep in Luthadel (i.e., traditional ballroom dancing).

For those looking for a more modern social dance experience, the last thirty minutes of the evening will feature a DJ and upbeat dance music!

Food and beverage

Food and beverage items—both alcoholic and non-alcoholic options—will be available throughout the Ball. Specific food options and ingredients will be announced prior to Dragonsteel Nexus so ball-goers can plan ahead. Please be aware that as food items will be prepared ahead of each event as batched, set menu items, food accommodations may not be possible and cross contamination may be unavoidable. 

Note: The food and beverages provided will not constitute a sit-down dinner. Rather, the selection of foods and beverages served at a variety of food stations are meant to enhance the experience of guests as they roam about the ball.
