Return/Exchange Requirements

• Anyone who pre-ordered a copy of The Eye of the World - Dragonsteel Leatherbound Edition is eligible for an exchange or refund.
• If you received your book prior to August 15th 2026, you must submit your request for an exchange or refund before September 30, 2026.

• If you have not received your book, you will have twenty-eight calendar days after its delivery to submit an exchange or refund request.

To begin the returns process, go to the Dragonsteel returns portal. You will be asked to provide the following information in order to initiate the return:

• Email or zip code.

• Order number or tracking number.

Domestic Process

   1. Initiate the exchange or refund process through the Dragonsteel returns portal. 

   2. Provide a photo clearly showing the damage, defects, or areas of concern with the book (external or internal).

• You do not need to have a damaged book in order to request a domestic exchange or refund.
  

   3. Specify if you are requesting a full refund or an exchange for a new copy. 

   4. Finalize and submit your request. 

As soon as Dragonsteel processes your request, you will receive an email with a pre-paid shipping label. Use this label to return the book–be aware domestic returns will be handled at a location in Michigan.

Dragonsteel will actively monitor return shipments. Once the tracking number shows that the book has been delivered, the replacement will be shipped directly to your address. You will not be charged for shipping the book to the bindery or for the replacement being shipped directly to you. 

International Process

        1. Initiate the exchange or refund process through the Dragonsteel returns portal. 

        2. Destroy the original book as outlined in the proof of destruction instructions defined in the returns portal.

• You do not need to have a damaged book in order to request an international exchange or refund.

        3. Submit a photo clearly showing the destroyed book, as defined by the proof of destruction instructions.

        4. Specify if you are requesting a full refund or an exchange for a new copy. 

        5. Finalize and submit your request.

As soon as Dragonsteel processes your request, the replacement or refund will be issued. 

For customers requesting a replacement book, the replacement will be shipped directly to your address. You will not be charged for shipping or VAT related to the replacement book.

International Process - Proof of Destruction

Please read the following instructions carefully before destroying the book, as we will not be able to provide a refund or replacement if the destruction is performed incorrectly.

1. To destroy the leatherbound, please tear out the book block from the cover by gripping the cover in one hand and the book block in the other, ensuring the internal end papers within the cover are also partially/fully ripped out.

2. Tear out the first chapter from the removed book block.

3. Take a photo of your individual proof of destruction and submit it. The photo should be similar to the example image provided below.

4. Tear off the ribbon and threaded endbands (cloth glued to the spine) on the top and bottom of the book block. Feel free to recycle the book block but please do not attempt to recycle the leather cover, ribbon, or threaded endbands.
